Richard C Armitage the famous British film personality says, “Since real spies are so good, you never really know what actual spying is. But I do think spying is a lot more dangerous than we are led to believe.”

Well, I guess we have all had our dose of espionage movies. So be it the James Bond created by Ian Fleming or the Mission Impossible which features the handsome Tom Cruise. If not then maybe you need to up your dose of action oriented films.

But what do you do when you have one of the youngest talents of the movie industry and the daughter of a stalwart in the world of literature team up together? You do watch it obviously. So curiosity was at its peak when you have a female spy .

So Raazi is a story which is set in the backdrop of the pre Indo- Pakistan war of 1971. Sehmat is a 20 year old university student. She is made to undergo training as an agent so that the family tradition of serving the country. She is made to undergo a quick training under the RAW officials.

Sehmat’s father uses his connections in Pakistan to get her married to the Pakistan brigadier’s son Iqbal . She settles well into the family life. Also she begins setting up her setup so as to relay important messages to the RAW officials.

The rest of the movie is how she goes on eliminating all those who obstruct her way. the feelings which she experiences while serving as a counter intelligence agent. She undergoes several traumatic experiences but the love of the country keeps her going. However when she witnesses the death of her husband in front of her eyes she decides to give it up all. Also she questions the intent of the job she has to undergo .

Alia Bhatt as Sehmat and Vicky Kaushal as Iqbal shine. They and the other actors have put their entire soul into the soul. Raazi is gripping and will keep you hooked on your seats.

So its a thumbs up from me. Its a must watch. If you want to start your dosage of action movies then start with this one.
