Mumbai is known to be a city of dreams. Lots of people come here and try their fortune . Or they are the locals but have their struggles with living spaces. Double Seat is a Marathi movie which explores the struggles of a newly wed couple for living space.
The story is told through the eyes of Amit and Manjiri Naik who live in a chawl. They try to have some me time for themselves but are unable to. The reason their privacy is invaded by some or the other. To top it, Amit’s father is skeptical of the family moving to a bigger space. This is because he finds the idea of owning a new house by the family impossible.
So, do Amit’s and Manjiri’s dream of a new house gets fulfilled? Or do they have to stay in the small place? Watch the movie to find out.
Ankush Chaudhari and Mukta Barve are spot on. They do play a lovely couple on screen. The struggles they undergo make you root for them. The movie is a great watch.
