” Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

I have always tried to understand why does the genre of romcoms ( romantic comedy) click with people ? What are the elements which people relate to in the genre? Is it the chemistry between the leads or is it the comedy present in the story? Maybe it might be both. After all people need an experience which leaves them filled with emotions.
So presenting to you my take on the romcom movie Break ke Baad. The movie directed by Danish Aslam has the gorgeous Deepika Padukone and the handsome Imran Khan in the lead. The movie explores the love story between the two. One is a pure romantic and is ready to settle with his friend and love of life. While on the other hand, the other is an ambitious and a commitment phobic. The boy tries to woo the girl . But the girl has plans to make it big in the field of acting . So she lands up in Australia. Our lover boy follows her to Australia and discovers himself after getting chastised by the girl. Does the boy pass the trials which his girl has to offer ? Or does he face dejection in the process? Do watch the movie to find out.
Deepika’s portrayal of the fiercely independent yet commitment phobe Aaliya is spot on. Her depiction of wanting to fly high without any constraints resonates a chord with the audience . Also Imran Khan as the chocolate boy lover Abhay steals your hearts with his performance. The movie showcases the different sides of what love is for people. Shahana Goswami too steals the show with her performance. So does Lillete Dubey who portrays the role of Pammi Bua . Her belief in love despite not having it worked out with previous relationships is worth watching. So yes the movie does make you laugh, cry and smile . Do watch it . You won’t regret it. It gets a thumbs up from me. Also do tell me about your experiences in the comments section.
