” Space exploration is a force of nature unto itself that no other force in society can rival.”

Neil de Grasse Tyson

I made the decision to update my blog on a regular basis. This is because I wanted to utilize my time productively. For a blogger, it is very important that he/ she remain consistent. This actually applies to all fields to be frank. It is also important because it shows how passionate a person is about his/ her work and ensures a certain amount of discipline. After all ,one has to be passionate and disciplined if one has to enjoy the fruits of the so called work he/ she does. Right guys?

Thus, presenting you the movie which I caught this week- Mission Mangal. This movie is a fictional take on India’s Mars Orbiter Mission (MoM) or as we Indians know it the Mangal Yaan. It pays a tribute to the brains who worked behind this project.

The movie begins with India failing the launch of GSLV-F06 in 2010. Rakesh Dhawan takes the blame for the mistake made by his fellow colleague Project Director Tara Shinde. Thus as a punishment, he is relocated to work on the Mangal Yaan project. The Mangal Yaan or the MoM( Mars Orbiter Mission) is said to be an impossible project because of a low budget. Another problem is the satellite to carry the MoM. But with the application of home science and some motivation thrown around, the team which is said to be a novice starts working on the project. Will the efforts undertaken by Rakesh, Tara and his team pay off? Do they reach the desired destination- the planet of Mars? This is for you to find out.

Well coming to the analysis part, the movie is an interesting take on the MoM mission. Both Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan have portrayed their roles nicely. Even the other actors have done a great job. The only thing which was not relatable at all was the dance scientists do to get motivated. But since its a fictional take so guess that much creative freedom is permissible. Overall a good watch to learn some physics as well as some lessons of life. Do go and watch it. Waiting for your lovely comments as usual.
