” A man’s worth is no greater than his ambitions.”

Cricket and Bollywood are two things which are worshiped like religion in a country like India. Our country is immensely crazy about these two things. One of the reason might be that it is a gateway to all things good- success, fame, fortune and what not. But how many actually live the dream or are able to live the dream ? A dream is seen by a lot of people to make it big in the field which they want. But how far do people go to actually realize them?

This question is explored and answered in the movie of the week- Ferrari ki Sawaari. This one chronicles the dream seen by a young boy named Kayo. He is a boy who is highly passionate about cricket. Added to that he is an extremely talented cricketer . His father tries to fulfill all the demands made by his boy even if that means emptying his savings . This irks his grandfather because he feels that the dream of being a cricketer is just a waste of time . Also , he has seen the ugly side of the game. As a result he does not want his grandson to suffer . But the father decides to bat for his son’s dream of playing in the Mecca of cricket world – the Lords. For that he goes to the extent of stealing a Ferrari which he realizes belongs to Sachin Tendulkar.

So, what all ordeals do the father has to face because of the stolen car? Does the owner of the car get to know his car is stolen? Is Kayo able to make the cut to play in the Lords? Watch the movie to find out the answers to these questions.

The analysis: This one by Rajesh Mapuskar is a roller coaster of emotions. It will make you laugh, cry , startle and root for the characters. It also explores the beautiful bond a father shares with his son. Generally , a son is close to his mother . But here the father tries to fulfill the role of the mother as well. So watch it for the emotions involved though a lot of times you might feel betrayed due to lack of logic. But sometimes even emotions beat logic right? The acting by Sharman Joshi is another reason why I would like you all to catch this one. Do catch this one and tell me your experiences about it. Will be waiting for your lovely comments. Catch you next week with a new pick . Till then lots of love.
