” The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.”

Oprah Winfrey

Hope all of you are doing great even in these uncertain times. I know situations are tough, but believe me even this shall pass. Humanity has survived everything that has fallen on it. So this too shall pass. Just keep yourselves safe and protected. Even if by chance you would have caught the disease by chance then do not panic. Just take your medicines on time and have a proper diet and sleep. You should do fine within two weeks. Be optimistic and have a positive mindset. That will actually help you to have a deeper meaning of life and make you more grateful towards it.

Okay, also you can keep yourselves occupied by doing something or the other. This is a time where you can actually work upon yourselves. So, engage yourself in learning something or the other. Just don’t let any anxiety or stress or any psychotic disorder affect you. You are way stronger than all this. And as Kelly Clarkson has aptly said in her song, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” So apply that and you should be able to do well in these tough times as well. Tough times do not last but tough people last.

Coming to the latest pick in the awesome world of movies- another evergreen classic that intends to celebrate life. That evergreen classic just a month and a half ago completed fifty years . Since it had completed a major milestone, I thought to include it in my watch list. That evergreen classic is Anand.

He however has a straight forward approach and wont treat the imaginary ailments of the rich. His friend Prakash however follows a different path . He treats the imaginary illnesses of the rich and uses that money to treat poor. One day Bhaskar is introduced to a cheerful person called Anand Sehgal who suffers from lymphosarcoma of intestine. Despite knowing the fact that he has a limited time to live, Anand has a very cheerful and vibrant personality. He also attracts people and befriends them thus forming an emotional bond. This quality of his Bhaskar finds attractive. But he also starts fearing for the life of his best friend. Why does Bhaskar fear for his friend’s life? Does his worst fears come true? What happens after his worst fears ?Watch the movie to find out the answers.

Scrutiny: The movie is a fantastic take on how to celebrate one’s life through the eyes of a terminally ill man. Anand is a man who suffers from a disease which is supposed to be reduce his lifespan by a few months. Yet he doesn’t let his life be affected by such a tragic incident.

The positives of the movie :

  1. Fantastic story line and fantastic dialogues by Gulzar saab and others .
  2. Beautiful music which is actually a treat to ears and has a very deep meaning as well.
  3. Beautiful cinematography as the streets and sounds of Mumbai city are captured beautifully. No wonder the movie is a perfect tribute to the city of dreams.
  4. Spot on moments of comedy as well as tragedy.
  5. Awesome histrionics by Rajesh Khanna sir, Bacchan saab and all the other actors in the movie.

The negatives of the movie:

The tragic death of such a vibrant man. But the man left behind a legacy and taught others to live life.

The sentiment: A must watch and evergreen classic . You will never be bored even after watching it a lot of times. A big thumbs up from me. Do catch the movie as this is a movie which celebrates life. This is important especially in such uncertain times. Do watch and tell me about your experiences in the comments section.
