Its been a long time since I last held the pen and jotted down my thoughts. But now that I have free time in my hand, I decided to make the most of it. I have been so busy that I literally have not found time to write a blog. I really feel guilty for making my readers devoid of the recommendations which I love to give you all. I am hoping that with my new job and career, I will be able to give more time to myself, my blog as well as to my valuable readers.

Well coming to this week’s recommendation in the awesome world of web series. This one is a story of a woman who is supposed to be a top Bollywood actress and is supposed to be living a picture perfect life.But what happens when she suddenly vanishes in thin air ?

^Synopsis: Anamika Anand is a Bollywood star who has a glamorous career and a picture perfect family (as far as the media is concerned). But it seems that what all glitters is not gold. While everything seems perfect to the outsiders, Anamika is a wreck in real life. She has an abusive husband, a daughter who wishes to be in her footsteps and a son who has his own issues. To add fuel to the fire, her mother constantly belittles her and uses emotional manipulation to achieve her goals. Anamika finds her solace in only one person – her costar and past lover Manish Khanna. But one day, she just vanishes in thin air . Her sudden disappearance puts her personal life in the limelight and unveils a life which has had many dirty, dark secrets.

Assessment: This one revolves around the messy life of a top Bollywood actress who has to face it all. Be it her belittling mother, an abusive husband or children who do not value her opinion and just want their needs to be tended to. But Anamika Anand tries to face it all with a smile on her face. She reiterates what Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “A woman is like a tea bag. You can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.” But when life gets overwhelming, you do try to find a way to escape it. So, does Anamika make herself disappear or is someone really behind her disappearance ? To find out the answer to this one, you need to watch the series. The story might appear to be a bit confusing to a few. But I don’t think that should be much of a deterrent because the story is pretty gripping by nature. Also, a fantastic job done by the lead actress of the series- the Dhakdhak girl ‘Madhuri Dixit Nene‘. The various facets she has portrayed through her character is a pure cinematic delight.This show also attempts to unravel some of the dirty secrets on which the entire business of showbiz runs. It not only involves the actors but everyone who is a part.It also highlights the fact that one has to tread carefully while walking on the path of fame and glamour taking one step at a time carefully. A single wrong step can jeopardize the entire life of a person. Another person who steals the show is Rajshri Deshpande who has portrayed the role of detective Shobha Trivedi. She is the one who refuses to believe whatever has been portrayed in the media and is willing to go lengths to uncover the eventual truth.

The View: For the people who enjoy various twists and turns in their stories, this one can be added to their watching list. It is definitely worth your time and is a complete paisa vasool. A word of caution though this one contains a lot of foul language, violence. So, those who are not comfortable with the same must avoid the same. Children below the age of 13 are specially not advised to watch the same as there are certain topics which parents might not find comfortable discussing with the kids.
