“I have had dreams and I have had nightmares. I overcame the nightmares because of my dreams.”

    Jonas Salk

Hello people and my dear readers and followers!!!I am really sorry from the bottom of my heart that I have not been writing continuously as I should be. The truth is that I am literally either juggling or am just procrastinating it like a lazy bum. So today I had some free time in my hand and did not feel lazy at all thus deciding it to dedicate it to my blog. After all it is the love which you readers shower me with your hits that keeps me going and motivated to write.

Thus continuing with my trend of finding out new things I bring to you a web series from the TV channel Bindass. Yes the same where you guys might have watched the show named Emotional Atyachaar. When I was in my teens the channel had launched itself and was a huge craze those times.

Now enough of my blabber and coming straight to the point . The web series revolves around a girl named Meera. She is a small town girl and a fauji kid at heart. She aspires to be a big name in the world of fashion. So she travels from Dehra Dun to Mumbai(the city of dreams). She comes to stay with her friend Samira. She finds new friends like Karthik who becomes her go to buddy and Kiran who is the co- owner of House of Areem.

She starts as an intern at the House of Areem where the owner of the company finds her a huge pain in butt(remember how Andrea Sachs was to Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada. ) But eventually she is forced to adjust because of her brother and co- owner in the company Kiran who also falls in love with her.

So is Meera able to make it big in the name of fashion designing or does she give up on her dreams? Watch the series to find out.

Meera is portrayed by Mithila Palkar who is bubbly in the first season but tends to be loud and moody in the upcoming seasons. Rajat Barmecha is a perfect fit for the character of Karthik as he adds an element of fun and romance in the scenes. Even Karanvir Sharma’s portrayal as Kiran Bhatija is a breeze to watch for though his role is a short one. Also, Ajay Trehan as Papa Rambo is fun to watch because though a strict father but he loves his daughter to the moon .

You will enjoy the series as the story is engaging and keeps its pace . The story is a nice take on the portrayal of the struggles one faces while pursuing his /her passion. Also it has romance, friendship, heartbreak , rivalry and some manipulations which doesn’t let the story lose grip. So a big thumbs up from me. Hope you guys enjoy watching it the same way as I enjoyed it. Do tell me about your experiences in the comments section below.

” It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.”

    Ralph Waldo Emerson

As another Friendship Day gift I decided to share a movie which is one of my personal favorites. Also the great thing about this movie is that it is an official remake of the Malayalam movie of the same name but with a few tweaks. After all creative liberty does exist and should exist right ? Though my personal recommendation would be to watch both the Malayalam as well as the Marathi version and decide which one you loved the most. Mind you though it will be a tough choice to make because both of them are good in their own manner.

But right now the focus is on the Marathi version. So put on your seat belts as I take you down through a journey which is filled with a cradle of emotions. This story revolves around the classmates of a college who are in their last year of college and their friend Ani who is in the first year. These classmates are Satya, Apu, Amit , Rohit , Aditi and Heena. Satya and Rohit (also known as Swimmer ) are rivals while Aditi and Heena are the best of friends. Apu is a tomboy who is also Satya’s right hand. But it is Ani who connects them all as he is the principal’s son and a great negotiator.

Satya aspires to be a political bighead in the future while Rohit aspires to be a swimmer even though he comes from a political background. However things take an ugly turn when Aditi decides to file her nomination for student elections against Satya. Will things take a worse turn and affect everyone ? Or does it has something else in the store? Watch the movie to find out .

The script is well written and the performances are first class. Sai Tamhankar and Ankush Chaudhary rock as Apu and Satya . Even Siddharth Chandekar as Ani steals the show. So do watch the movie and tell me about your experiences in the comments section. Waiting to hear about it from you all. Hope you do enjoy the movie just like I did. Happy watching fellas!!!

” In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.”

    Khalil Gibran

p.s.: I have watched both the versions and loved both of them a lot.

” Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.”

    Malcolm X

First of all wishing all my readers and followers a very Happy Friendship Day. Hope you guys would have made great plans with all your friends. After all they are the ones who are like second family to us. Isn’t that right. As far as I am concerned I am caught up with my course work and internship. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t provide you the insights into what I watch and read .

So this week I present to you(actually Unacademy presents to you with The Viral Fever )The Kota Factory. Kota is a small town situated in the state of Rajasthan. Actually only two things has made the place famous : its kachori and its penchant for producing toppers for IIT-JEE and NEET. Well for the uninitiated , IIT-JEE and NEET are the two gateways to aspirants aiming to become engineers and doctors of the future. Most of the students start as early as 9th standard to get into the so called prestigious Indian Institute Of Technology and The All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

The Kota Factory is actually a take on the flourishing coaching industry of the place. It tries to explore the so called coaching industry through the characters of Vaibhav Pandey, Uday, and Meena. Vaibhav Pandey is a bright student who moves to Kota from Itarsi to increase his chances to get into the so called “IITs”. At first he is uncomfortable with the place as the food is not to his liking and the water doesn’t suit him. Enter Jeetu Bhaiya, an ex IITian , an agony aunt and a Physics faculty in Prodigy classes. He inspires Vaibhav to have faith in himself. However a time comes when Vaibhav has to take a tough call(be assured no spoilers here). It is Jeetu Bhaiya who inspires him to broaden his thinking and horizons. Does Vaibhav follow Jeetu Bhaiya’s advice? That is for you guys to find out.

The script is well written , the characters crack the roles. I personally loved the bromance shared by Vaibhav, Meena and Uday. Jeetu Bhaiya deserves a huge shoutout. Also Ahsaas Channa ‘s portrayal of Shivangi Rawat is a fresh take on the portrayal of an independent girl. The show has everything you love to watch- comedy, drama, tragedy, bromance and romance. So do give this show a watch and tell me about your experiences in the comments section. Happy watching fellas!!!!
